Welcome to the Whakatane Mountain Bike Club

Heading into its fourth year, the Whakatane Mountain Bike Club is no longer the new kid on the block.

15km of hand built single track weaving through 470Ha of pine forest and we've hardly scratched the surface. To quote a friend of ours "A couple of weeks ago I went and rode some excellent trails built and maintained by the Whakatane MTB Club at Rawhiti Forest near Ohope. We rode for a couple of hours without doing everything they have, and the well-drained terrain and amazing views combined with some very nice sections of flowing trail to make the park well worth a visit." And on the Eastern Bay of Plenty the Kennett Brothers say "the most exciting trails are at the new Rawhiti MTB park, just out of Whakatane." I couldn't have said it better myself. And there is a lot more in the planning for XC and downhill enthusiasts.

So keep an eye on the news page for our latest plans and gossip, take a look at some photos in the gallery, then sign up for the Ordeal...

See you out there
